I was pretty uncertain about buying this. Afterall I am now disabled, unable to work, and was replacing a 800 aud set of callipers, ny the way that was second hand cost, that were stolen from me.
But surprisingly I was shocked that they felt good, seem to he accurate enough for most work, have good weight etc.
Pros:
* Seems to be great build quality.
* Seems to be accurate.
* Comes with spare battery and screwdriver to change said battery in the case.
* Has all the features you'd normally want
* Nice and tight, and the ability to lock them works well.
Cons: (not many mostly nit picks)
* Case is a cheap, for precision measurement tools you want a shock proof, moisture proof environment, sadly it just appears to be injection moulded plastic.
* Does not come with a guage block to precisely adjust accuracy, that said I am sure that could cause more issues than it would solve. On that note, no way to adjust them to be calibrated minus zeroing out.
* Resolution is not that high only 2 decimal places for metric 4 for imperial. That said for the price its good.
* No back light.
Now you may see more negatives that positives and wonder why id say they are good. One is I am pretty unfairly comparing them to something that cost me 34X the price and they were second hand making them much cheaper. And also listing these things so people know what they are getting, they aren't going to buy this expecting 5 digits or accuracy or more in the metric side.
Honestly I think these are well worth the price. Even if you have a set of ultra expensive callipers already, these would be good for rough measuring or measuring things that may damage your very expensive set. Or for things that just don't need to be so precise.
