Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk previously said at a press conference that a specific deadline for vaccinated persons overseas travelers coming into Queensland will be set.
Currently, Queensland Health predictions indicate that Queensland will reach its 90% target on Monday, January 24th, if the daily trend continues downwards.

The Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) expressed delight at the news " They kept the lights on throughout the pandemic and have done an outstanding job adapting to the ever-changing needs over the last two years.
De Graaf said, “ The airport staff hoped to see an increase in some passenger sectors coming into Queensland, particularly with overseas students returning for the start of the university semester”.
"While Queensland is a world-famous destination and Brisbane remains a strong market for airlines to serve," de Graaff said, "airline firms have suffered considerably as a result of the pandemic, which means competition among destinations for very few airline resources are fierce."
