Princess Mary of Denmark looks stunning in blue in new photographs for her 50th birthday. Crown Mary's birthday is on 5th Feb, but the palace has released some beautiful portraits in advance.
The Aussie-born royal - wore a dazzling floor-length dress with long sleeves and a tight waist by Danish designer Lasse Spangenberg.
The Danish crown princess accessorized her outfit with a stunning tiara encrusted with diamonds and rubies, as well as matching earrings and a brooch attached to her light blue sash.
Prince Frederik, the Danish heir to the throne, wore his military uniform while posing for the pictures and looked equally smart.
Photographer Hasse Nielsen captured the pair in their home at Frederik VIII's Palace, Amalienborg, where they posed together and separately.
Fans of the princess showered the Australian royal family with appreciation and well-wishes in the comments section of an Instagram post.
"On the occasion of her Royal Highness the Crown Princess' 50th birthday on Saturday, new official gala pictures of the Crown Prince and Crown Princess have been captured," this is said on the Royal Family's social media sites.
Mary is set to announce an exhibition of native Australian animals at Copenhagen Zoo later this week, themed 'Mary's Australian Garden,' in honor of her background. In the days ahead, a Crown Princess Mary study center will open at the University of Copenhagen, and another exhibition detailing her life thus far will open at Denmark's National History Museum.
